OATS (Oil Advisory Technical Services) was founded in 1984 to create lubricants recommendation books for the UK market. The first electronic version of the guides was launched in 1994, since when we have expanded across Europe and the US to become the world’s leading supplier of lubricants recommendation information services.

Data content has been expanded to cover all the key sectors. OATS maintains contact with a very wide range of OEMs across the world and each year we add or modify around 7,500 models to the database.

We have created the EARL* System – the #1 global database. We have adapted to marketplace dynamics; moving from paper to CD and now to web-based solutions. The whole EARL System works in 18 languages and is used in over 75 countries.
