Atlantic Gulf Bunkering is entering the US Gulf market.
Starting from a 2,800 metric tonne double hull barge, the newly-formed, Mobile Arkansas-based company will initially offer a full range of marine fuels including custom blends and low-sulphur fuels to key ports in the US Gulf.
The indpendent has drafted-in significant bunkering expertise to head up operations for the new business which will distribute fuel in Mobile, Gulfport, Pascagoula and surrounding areas and using a number of onshore storage facilities in the region.
According to the company, it has ambitious plans for expansion including construction of additional barges and moves to offer bunkering services in other ports and locations. There are also planse for a deep water port development.
