Energy sector lubes provider, Castrol Offshore is entering the Bangladeshi market.
The specialist division of BP has joined forces with Rahimafrooz Distribution to offer Castrol branded lubricants to the power, oil and gas exploration and production industry in the country. They will also provide advice and specialist resources through the Dhaka-based distributor.
Castrol spokesman, William Dsouza, commented that “Bangladesh is augmenting its current power generation capacity to meet double digit growth in demand year on year,” adding that with presence in 50 countries already, Castrol Offshore was aiming to become the sector supplier of choice in its 51st.
As well as targetting the exploration industry, the new partnership is looking to help the growth of Bangladesh's power station operations through the supply of specialist lubes and know-how.
