Expansion of engine oil treatment capacity in France

A new re-refining plant will expand French re-refining capacity.

The new Osilub plant, jointly operated by French oil major, Total, and Veolia Environnement, has taken 20 months to build and will re-refine used oil into high-end engine oils.

Osilub,  which produces base stock, has developed the wiped-film vacuum distillation process designed to preserve the oil molecules and ensure high yields when recycling fine chemical products.

The new plant supports French policy of sustainable development and consolidates the presence two key business and oil industry players in the French northern region of Normandy.
