The wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec Group, has long been lubricating the nation’s public transport systems. A favoured supplier of lubes for China’s 13,000km of high-speed railways, Great Wall is now developing cleaner synthetics for the urban construction sector.

With energy conservation, environmental protection and green transport becoming increasingly important, Great Wall has released its latest synthetic gasoline engine oil fully compliant with national V standards – Justar SM5W-40.

The company hopes the product will test market readiness for green products, whilst spreading consumer knowledge about higher quality products. Great Wall has also developed the “Best Blue” emissions system to be used in conjunction with the oil, in order to reinforce its eco-friendly status.

While the oil will be used primarily in public transport and construction, Great Wall also provides lubes for more adventurous projects, like China’s ambitious space program.
