The Italian car manufacturer aims to have seven dealerships open by 2015, but will start with its first showroom in India's capital, Mumbai, later this year.  The dealerships will be managed by luxury brand retailer Shreyans Group which has agreed a partnership deal with Maserati.

A second showroom, in New Delhi, is scheduled for 2012 and the company believes 75% of its total Indian sales will come from these two dealerships, with the saloon range proving most attractive, followed by the GranTurismo Coupe and Convertible models making up most of the remaining sales.

The company also announced a new two-wheel product with the launch of the stunning fixed-wheel, made-to-order Montante for Maserati 8CTF.  The' bike includes a hand-soldered frame,  aluminium disc brakes, grain leather saddle, handlebar covers and pedal blocks and the frame individually numbered and printed with the owner's name.  At a mere €3600 ($5200 the 200 limited edition 'bikes will be the mode of transport to be seen on this summer.
