Tide Water Oil will distribute the Veedol brand in Africa.
The brand will initially be distributed in South Africa by a distributor based in the UAE. Already sold in Europe, North America, Latin America and the Middle East, Veedol may be sold into other African markets in the future.

According to Tide Water's chairman, Kallol Datta, the consumption pattern of the lubes industry has seen substantial change in the past few years. Overall, he claims, growth has remained subdued.
Tide Water had also entered into a joint venture with Japan's JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation to form JX Nippon Tide Water Oil Lubricants India. The company will manufacture the ENEOS brand of lubricants in India, Bhutan and Nepal for Japanese and Korean cars.
