Pitstop has entered into a strategic partnership with Shell as its lubricant provider. Describing itself as "a door-to-door care care service", the company runs a fleet of vehicles which provide aftersales mobile oil change, vehicle service and repairs on the customer's premises.  Its stated aim is to disrupt what it sees as a fragmented market.

Mansi Tripathy, managing director at Shell India said, “We understand the importance of after sales car service in the Indian market and are confident that our association with Pitstop will enable better user-end experiences.”

Pitstop has operations in India and Singapore and plans to take on 60,000 mechanics over the next five years as part of its expansion plans.  The latest deal with oil major, Shell, is a boost to the start-up which received $1m pre-Series-A funding in 2017.

As well as its mobile service, Pitstop has developed Software-as-a-Service technology which allows it to provide real-time data of service repairs for fleets including car hire, taxi and ride-sharing companies.
