SEO is really good for business!


Search engine optimisation (SEO) is achieving important objectives for 89% of companies, according to a report.

Effectiveness of SEO is also improving for 71% of companies surveyed by Ascend2.

The top three tactics for SEO are relevant content creation, keyword research and frequent website updating, according to the Ascend2 report.

Key obstacles to the success of SEO are:

  • Changing search algorithms (40%)
  • Budget constraints (38%)
  • Managing keywords/phrases (34%)
  • Lack of quality content (33%)

Relevant content creation is seen as the most effective SEO tactic but also the most difficult to execute, with similar issues identified for keyword/phrase research.  More than half (52%) of companies surveyed found building relevant links the most difficult element to execute.

Because of these challenges, 81% of companies surveyed outsource all or part of their SEO tactics.
