Shell and Kia continue collaboration


Shell and Kia is extending its technical partnership to 2016.

Shell Lubricants will remain Kia Motors Europe’s preferred European motor oil supplier for a further three years. The partnership extends benefits to Kia vehicle owners, distributors and dealers for service fill.

Kia badgeThe extension of the initial five-year agreement, first inked in 2009, includes lubricants training for Kia mechanics and service advisers. Meanwhile, Kia customers will receive engine oil change stickers and oil top-up kits.

Consumers will also be encouraged to use Shell's recently launched free LubeMatch online service, which uses data provided by OATS.

Kia Motors Europe Aftersales VP, Uwe Hannes said of the new deal: “This renewed technical partnership agreement strengthens the alliance of our two global brands, with the aim of further improving customer and dealer satisfaction. Shell has the geographical reach, marketing capability and world-class technology to successfully work with Kia as we continue to expand our market share and product portfolio throughout Europe.”
