In the first of nine co-branded products jointly developed by the two companies, Tata Motors Genuine Oil (TMGO) will be available in India for the motor manufacturer's diesel-engined passenger vehicles.

A petrol version, TMGO 80EP, will follow soon after, with the entire range available towards the end of 2016.

Aiming to achieve 5% market share in India by 2019, Petronas has invested close to $60m to develop a new lubricants manufacturing plant in India near Mumbai, due to be operational by the end of cylinder year 2017.

Mr. Dinesh Bashin, the head of Customer Service, Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors said, "Tata Motors has always worked with a customer centric approach and providing its customers with the best post-purchase experience. With the new co-branded Tata Motors Genuine Oil range of lubricants now available, we are creating a distinct and differentiated value proposition in the market."
