The French major has now resumed all services after environmental concerns caused minor disruptions at its Tianjin base.

Although the warehouse used by Total Lubmarine was largely unaffected, major damage to the port's customs buildings were badly impacted and caused problems with supply lines and other production facilities.

Delivery services were re-routed through major ports in Shanghai, as well as smaller local ports in Caofeidian, Huanghua, Jing Tang, Qinhuangdao, Shanhaiguan and Tangshan.

Total Lubmarine services China's bustling shipping industry with lubes and greases specifically designed for marine use.

In general, most port operations had returned to normal several days after the deadly explosion that killed more than 170 people. US manufacturers like John Deere, which has a small facility near the port, say operations have been temporarily suspended. Japanese carmaker Subaru has announced it will permanently steer clear of Tianjin in favour of nearby Shanghai, claiming that operations have yet to return to normal after a number of automakers were badly affected by the incident.
