A new car craze has taken over Beijing – “wrapping.” A cheaper and less permanent alternative to fully repainting ones car, “wrapping” is becoming increasingly popular with China's younger generation of car fanatics.

The four stage process is simple: cut the thin film into shape, stretch over your vehicle, iron out any bumps and bubbles, then blow-dry the film to make sure it sticks.

The Beijing Roadster Team are responsible for brightening the capital's motors, and can add a bright pink BMW Z4, a gold Porsche boxster, and an orange Audi TT to their roster of colourful cars.

The wrapping phenomenon has been imported from the West, where, as previously reported by OATS, motorists can get a wide range of colours and patterns stuck to their vehicles for as little as £2,000.
