Galana seals Madagascar deal

Bookmark and Share

A busy few months for Galana Distribution Petroliere Ltd (GDP) includes a new deal to distribute lubricants in Madagascar for Engen.

The deal will extend Engen's presence in the Indian Ocean, which already has operations in 18 African countries and experts to more than 30 African and Indian Ocean countries.

For Middle-East-based GDP, this is the latest in a string of positive pieces of business.  In March the company won the contract to supply some one million barrels of jet fuel to the Maldives.

One of the competitors for the jet fuel deal, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), has inked a deal with Galana Oil Kenya (a separate company from GDP), also the end of June, to distribute ENOC products through its chain of retail fuel stations across the country.
