Georgian Wissol to import Total lubes

Bookmark and Share

Georgia's leading oil distributor, Wissol, has signed an exclusive lubricants deal with French producer, Total.

Wissol will be the exclusive importer of Total's auto oils and lubes and, while strengthening the Georgian company's market-leading position, it will also help fulfil Total's stated aim of becoming the leading local brand within three to five years.

The Total products will be sold through Wissol's expanding service station network and the company has, apparently, conducted consumer surveys to establish best pricing for the French brand.

Wissol, which has seen an estimated 30% year-on-year growth in 2010, plans to capitalise on Total's reputation, with the French producer already establishing markets in Azerbaijan and Armenia.
