Ausfuel buys Gull Petroleum

Bookmark and Share

Western Australia's largest independent fuel company has been sold to Northern Territorys' Ausfuel.

With nearly 100 service stations in the West of the country, Gull Petroleum has been in the hands of WA's Rae family for more than 25 years since they acquired the company in 1984.

The latest move sees Gull remain in independent ownership, this time under Ausfuel, whose fuel and logistics business covers Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory and offers an well-recognised alternative to the major multinational brands.

While the intentions are to "invest, renew, upgrade and grow the Gull business and offer more to our customers", according to Ausfuel CEO Brooke David, there is no indication that the Gull brand will disappear and all supply, terminal and delivery operations, along with the staff, will continue on the current basis.
