Lubrizol upgrades Indian lab
Chemical specialist Lubrizol is set to upgrade its fuel and lubricants laboratory in Mumbai.
The refurbishment will include the consolidation of a number of existing labs into a single, modern facility and the purchase of a range of new equipment to widen the company's testing capacity in India.
The improved facility is described as "world class" and will include training facilities for customers. It is aimed at meeting an anticipated growth in testing demand over the next five years as the Indian auto industry seeks higher performing lubes.
The labs will work with and for OEMs as well as lube, fuel and additive producers across the region. Equipment will include blending, analysis and performance testing and will be linked to Lubrizol's global R&D computer network allowing 24-hour data access.
