Third Asia Pipeline Summit announced
Global oil leaders are preparing to meet in Beijing to discuss oil and gas pipeline management in Asia.

For the third consecutive year, Beijing will host Asia's main oil and gas pipeline summit. The main focus of this year's summit, which takes place on the 16th and 17th November 2011, will be: “How to improve the operation and management level of oil and gas pipelines”, a subject that will be discussed and analysed by experts in the field. Siemens is confirmed to join the event as the associate sponsor.
With China's stated aim of speeding up the construction of strategic oil and gas import infrastructure into and around the country, the conference comes at an important time.
While day one of the event will focus on the outlook for Asia's oil and gas and infrastructure planning and operation, the second day will turn the spotlight on technology for construction, maintenance and management.
Confirmed speakers at the event include Wang Xiaoping, Deputy General Manager, PetroChina West-to-East Gas Pipeline (Sales); Hideo Ogawa, President of Japan Pipeline Development & Operation Inc; Zhang Guangwei, Project Manager for China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau Crossing Company; Reza Almasi, Managing Director of Gas Transmission for National Iranian Gas Company and Dan Sullivan, Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Natural Resources.
Amongst the delegates will be global leaders from the oil and gas pipeline sector, including PetroChina Pipeline Company, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau, Sinopec, Osaka Gas Co., Qatar Petroleum, Gazprom Invest Vostok, PT. Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI), GE Oil and Gas, Siemens and Omnisens.
