Valvoline and Lubrizol share environment prize

Bookmark and Share

Lubrizol and Valvoline have received the 2010 Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Environmental Excellence in Transportation Award.

The Award comes after three years of technical partnership between the two companies to research and demonstrate the emission performance of Valvoline car motor oil.  The collaboration included lab and field tests as well as statistical and life cycle analysis.  The result was a demonstration that Valvoline oils with Lubrizol's HyperZDP System additives offered extended catalyst life and reduced exhaust emissions.

The SAE E2T Award is in its 10th year and entrants must demonstrate innovative achievement, favourable environmental impact, widespread applicability and no transfer of environmental impact.
