Conoco and Amsoil launch new products
ConocoPhillips have announced a new low ash oil for natural gas engines.
Conoco have added a 5005EXD product to it's long-titled 76 Lubricants Triton 5005 range. The new premium product is designed specifically for high-output natural gas engines. Using a low ash dispersant-detergent formula, the 5005EXD allows extended oil drain servicing, as well as catalyst protection and reduced emissions.
Meanwhile in the small-engine market, US-based Amsoil has launched an additive specifically designed for small two and four-stroke engines. Amsoil Quickshot SE is an aftermarket additive aimed at maintaining water dispersal throughout the fuel tank to reduce the risk of ethanol separation. Fuel contamination is also a common problem in small engines used for boats, motorcycles, snowmobiles, etc and Quickshot is designed to overcome this issue.
