Baker Hughes/Intertek form alliance as Chevron appoints Azelis

Houston-based Baker Hughes has formed a strategic alliance with Intertek Group to provide an enhanced cargo treatment additives service.

The alliance will combine Intertek's global testing and inspection network with Baker's Petrolite Prepared To Respond™ (P2R™) infrastructure to provide a cargo additives treatment service for the petroleum industry worldwide.

Services will call on a range of expertise from both companies including self-contained pumping systems and specialist engineers and inspectors, and is aimed at all aspects of the industry which move petroleum cargo, from refineries to terminals and ports.

Meanwhile Chevron Oranite has appointed Azelis as exclusive pan-European distributors for its OLOA® and PARATONE® lubricant additives and viscosity improvers.

Belgium-based Azelis distributes a wide range of specialist chemicals to more than 40,000 customers in various food and chemical sectors. According to Azelis, the contract will provide improved service levels and closer relationships for Chevron Oranite's customers.
