Newmarket sales boost

Fuel additives company Newmarket posted Q1 net income figures of $42.1m, a 68% improvement on the previous year.

Petroleum additives saw a 21% increase in shipments, helping the company to $389.3m in Q1 revenue - a 16% increase on the same time in 2008.  The results exceeded market expectations, boosting Newmarket's share price.
