How does TEMDOX work?
TEMDOX comprises proven content management tools that are optimised for the creation and maintenance of your essential documentation. Using a web interface, it is independent of geography, software or system issues.
The system holds all the data components (such as text, logos, photos and graphics) centrally. Each individual component – and common text elements such as contact details, or disclaimers – will be scanned or entered into the system, but only stored once.
Using templates to create the right layout, the stored components are called up and placed within a document only when that document is requested. This ensures that at the point a document is published, it's content is always up-to-date.
Furthermore, not only does this approach mean that a new component (such as a logo) common to several different documents need only be created and stored once, it also means that any subsequent revisions to a component require a single input.
For example, if an API specification needs to be revised from CH-4 to CH-4A, TEMDOX can be searched for each occurrence of that text. The change is then made just the once, but applied globally - giving you peace of mind that any subsequent documentation will feature the new specification.
The scope of TEMDOX
TEMDOX is completely modular. It has been designed to handle all the components of the most commonly used product support documentation - whether those documents are displayed on web pages, downloaded as PDFs or distributed as printed documents. These documents include:
- Technical Data Sheets (TDS): TEMDOX will store, position and format all the content needed to produce and maintain these vital documents.
- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS): All MSDS elements will be held, just once, in the TEMDOX data store
- Product Data Sheets (PDS): Data sheets will re-use much of the TDS and photo material already stored in TEMDOX
- Product catalogues and handbooks: Catalogue and product handbook production will be greatly simplified by drawing on previously stored content
- Pack-shot libraries: All photos and graphic images need be stored only once in TEMDOX. The output stage will then format the image for size and resolution
- OEM approval letters: These valuable selling resources will become more accessible in the TEMDOX system
