Dan Aykroyd paints his wagon!


Film star-turned vodka distiller, Dan Aykroyd gives a quirky insight into his role as Grand Marshall for an Art Car event.

Having been appointed as Grand Marshall for Houston's Orange Show Art Car Parade - described as "one of Houston's wildest events" - Aykroyd gave a funny and quirky interview to the local Houston Chronicle.

Sunflower Car, artist Tim YoungAs well as talking about his honoured role at the event, which features some outlandish vehicle designs, Aykroyd also talked about his new career as a Vodka Distiller.  Working with artist John Alexander, also a supporter of the Orange show, Aykroyd created Crystal Head Vodka.  The spirit is made using no oils or additives and is apparently one of the purest vodkas in the world.  What started as an experiment now sees the millionth bottle being produced this month.

On the subject of spirits, it turns out that Aykroyd also has a background in ghosts that extends beyond his starring role in the hit Ghostbusters movie trilogy.  His father, Peter Aykroyd, is also an author and authority on all things ghostly.
