Chinese producer allots 800m yuan ($132m) for car and construction lubes.

Dongfeng Lubricants Co, the lubes production arm of Dongfeng Motors, has announced it will begin a lubes research and development “revival”. The firm will invest in new production facilities and manpower as it seeks to capitalise on China’s growing vehicles market.
The new resources will be dedicated to developing a wide range of lubes for passenger cars, construction equipment and machinery, speciality lubes and greases, brake fluids and also coolant.
The producer is already looking for lubricants experts to guide product development nationwide as it hopes to compete with increasingly tough foreign competition.
Nonetheless, Dongfeng still has the home advantage and has already signed strategic agreements with dealerships in over 50 locations nationwide as part of its overall sales strategy.
