Engineered Custom Lubricants (ECL) forms Euro subsidiary


Engineered Custom Lubricants (ECL) has announced the formation of a new subsidiary in Hamburg, Germany.

ECL Engineered Custom Lubricants GmbH, will become ECL's new European division. ECL is a multinational company with its US HQ based in Illinois. It also has offices and manufacturing bases in Belgium and Asia. Strangely, ECL Mexico is based in Michigan in the US.

ECL's planned European expansion is aimed at supporting global operations of a business which has tripled in size since 2008. The new German subsidiary will be headed by Managing Director, Ulf Herrmann, who has nearly 20 years of experience in automotive lubrication including OEMs such as BMW, Chrysler, Daimler, Ford and GM.

ECL has been in the development and manufacture of high-performance specialty lubricants and coatings for OEM applications since 1954.
