Good Q3 for Calumet


Calumet showed significant Q3 growth helped by increased volumes and overall economic improvement.

The Speciality Products company saw net income grow a massive 430% from the same period last year to $21.2m with gross profits also up by $21m.

The third quarter leap came from overal sales of close to $600m, a 21% rise on 2009.   As well as general economic improvement lifting speciality product demand, volumes were also helped by additional production and volume from the partnership with LyondellBasell.

Sales volumes of around 32,100b/d was led by some 14,700 b/d of lubricating oils, followed by solvents and waxes.
