Huiyuan lubes builds customer loyalty

Huiyan company representatives were encouraged by their findings as they showed positive customer interactions - especially amongst commercial groups such as taxi drivers - led to greater product awareness, word of mouth recommendations and greater brand loyalty.

The lubes producer found that many of their customers were drawn to efficiency as much as price. Several taxi drivers claimed Huiyan products significantly increased their oil change intervals and reduced the risk of major engine repairs. Drivers claimed the lubricants could stretch change intervals to around 8,000km from the 5,000km offered when servicing at a 4S dealership.

Unlike most passenger car drivers, taxi drivers are more likely to take ownership of vehicle maintenance and, Huiyuan found, were more likely to share tips and product recommendations around other drivers. The price point and quality of Huiyuan lubricants led to positive reviews from commercial customers, which is, in turn, translating into a steady stream of revenue for the local producer.
