Infineum is looking to capitalise on the rising demand for high quality lubricants products with its new CBTC, which will also enable it cater to demands of local customers.

The opening comes just a few months after ground was broken at Infineum’s new blending plant in Jiangsu province.

Managing Director at Infineum China Fu Limin claimed “Shanghai and Jinqiao in particular was a natural choice for Infineum”, as it is located “close to many of our customer, supplier and engine manufacturers.” The project was completed both on time and on budget, claimed Fu, who did not disclose the exact figures for the investment.

Infineum International CEO Xavier Le Mintier also claimed the Shanghai facility was a “strategic move” that brings together “the most advanced technology and the best talents” in the region.

The new facility includes R&D labs alongside office facilities.
