The patents apply to new lubricants and coatings which form part of the company's nGlide® Division range. The company claims the new products which will be developed under the patents have created a near frictionless environment for machines, which could possibly render traditional lubricants obsolete.

The patented technologies provide features including anti-wear, anti-friction, anti-corrosion, extreme load and extreme pressure (EP) performance and are capable of working in the harshest of operating conditions including tight tolerance and precision environments as well as under extreme temperature ranges regardless of the materials used or the surface type.

According to Arkansas-based NanoMech, machinery will perform better and last longer.  However, the challenge to the traditional lubes producers and the properties of their products may be nGlide's most significant impact on lubricant development.
