ATIEL has developed a chart for marketers showing ACEA claims.
The Technical Association of the European Lubricants Industry (ATIEL) has produced the information based on its understanding and experience of the European Automobile Manufacturer's Association (ACEA) European Oil Sequences.
Lubricant marketers need to identify and make claims that are compliant with the ACEA sequences, as well as provide accurate labelling of their products. Marketers are also obliged to sign a Letter of Conformance in order to make claims in accordance with ACEA requirements.
To help the marketing process, the ATIEL chart includes information about expiry dates for different engine classes in all the issues of the Oil Sequences, dating back to 2002.
