Mobil Delvac’s new low-viscosity oil is set to meet impending US federal standards.
In anticipation of the 2014 introduction of the US-wide greenhouse gas and fuel economy standards, ExxonMobil has launched its latest, compliant diesel oil - Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30. As well as meeting the new regulations, Mobil see the new lube as a cornerstone of its diesel lube marketing, with the focus on helping fleets save fuel, reduce total maintenance costs and achieve various sustainability-related goals.
According to Mobil, the new Delvac test results using a variety of vehicle makes, types and conditions, confirmed the oil’s potential to achieve fuel economy benefits without compromising engine or component protection.
As with every new release, the company is aiming for first fill and aftermarket recommendations from a number of key engine manufacturers already recommending synthetic low-viscosity oils. The fact that it is US standard compliant should help their cause.
