Shell sells in Scandinavia


In a continued drive to consolidate its retail operations, Shell is looking to sell some its Scandinavian assets.

Shell logoThe oil giant has highlighted its Finnish operations as the main opportunity for sale.  The entire operation will be open to offers, including the importing, production, sales and marketing of fuel and lubricants products in the country.  This includes around 290 retail siges and a staff of about 325.  Shell described it as "as profitable business", but have not yet set a timescale for the sale or revealed a price.

Shell is also set to sell off its Swedish operations, but will retain activities in Denmark and Norway.
